Over the past few years, we have worked really hard in starting our web and graphic design business, and making it grow. The CryoDragon Team finally took some time off of our usual busy schedules from April 19th – 29th to go on our first overseas trip to Taipei, Taiwan!
We have broken up our adventure into day-by-day posts.
Day 8: Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village
The next day, we spent most of our day at the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village. This village, also in the Yuchi Township, is a combined amusement park and heritage centre. It also contains the tallest free-fall ride and largest European gardens in the entire country! When we arrived at the park, we went through the main entrance and to the ropeway, so that we could go to the top, and work our way down to the bottom because the park is on a mountain.
The ropeway we took had stunning views, not only of the park itself and the mountainside, but also of Sun Moon Lake.

As we worked our way down the park, we visited the different tribes of Taiwan. The park is organized in such a way that every level represents a different tribe, and they employ tribespeople to present cultural dances and crafts for tourists. We were able to watch a dance, and feed some koi fish!

After the park, we drove back to Taipei City to enjoy some authentic Taiwanese cuisine at Shin Yeh. We had their famous almond tofu with peach and peanut butter mochi balls to finish off the meal.
