When we take on a project of any nature, we make sure we can do the work and can finish the work on time. When you hire us to take care of your website, we make sure your changes and requests are made and fulfilled in a timely manner. Maybe there’s a feature that’s missing, or maybe you just want a quick maintenance job without the commitment. At CryoDragon, we are comfortable working with a wide range of platforms and are capable of working on websites created by other web designers and developers.
However, when it comes to maintenance, we would be lying if we said that maintaining someone else’s site is as easy as working on a site we designed. Prior to working on a site created by someone else, we need to discuss what our clients require with respect to maintenance, analyze their website to see if there are any underlying issues, determine where your website files are hosted and whether we have permission to edit those files, and then figure out the best maintenance package for their request. If there are underlying issues with the website, then we would recommend our website repair services to help fix the issue.
A website can be made up of many components, and it is crucial that each component is updated on a regular basis to ensure that they are all compatible and working well together.
For most content management systems (CMS), it is easy to log in as the site administrator and edit pages using a text editor. However, that’s only one aspect of content updating. Although you are updating content, you may still have to update the core files of the CMS as well as any plugins or modules that add functionality to your site.
If you have the know-how and the capabilities of updating these yourself, then great! But if you are uncomfortable making these core upgrades and troubleshooting any issues that may arise from these upgrades, that’s when you should seek professional help.
Our website maintenance packages do not include the management of your hosting servers. We let our clients choose which web host provider they want, and we are happy to work with different web host providers to help maintain your website. However, although we can help set up and manage your server settings through your account, we have no control over any server updates and maintenance that come from the web host provider.
