Biophysical Society of Canada

The Biophysical Society of Canada has been evolving throughout the years. Started in 1985, the BSC began as a handful of biophysicists who wanted to bring together Canadian biophysicists and grow awareness of their research. Now, the BSC has grown into a dynamic and diverse society with hundreds of members across Canada at the forefront of biophysical research.

As part of their growth, the BSC decided to revamp their site and create a fully-automated and online membership system instead of doing everything by hand. This would not only reflect on their expansion, but also save them time in processing memberships and payments. They contracted CryoDragon to not only design a new look for their site, but also incorporate an online membership system with automated renewal reminders and email notifications. Members can also access members-only areas of the website and sign up for discounted rates of conference registrations.

With a fully-customized website, CryoDragon was able to incorporate all the features that the BSC wanted as well as create a user-friendly backend for their staff to log into and make changes via a content management system.
