The CryoDragon team was handing out flyers again, this time starting with Cambridge! It’s quite nice to be able to be out and about this time of year. You get to cover a large amount of area and you get to see more local shops and stores than you normally would if you had just driven by in a car.
We have been up and down Hespeler Road many times, but never noticed just how many shops were actually there until we were walking it. The same with all the factories and machine shops located over on Sheldon Avenue, and the surrounding streets like Thompson Drive, Turnbull Court and down Bishop Street. We managed to cover a fair amount of the city just by walking around, yet we never seemed to run out of places to go. It appeared as though things would end, and we could take a break, but then more places would just jump out at us and we would have to start again.
Later in the week, we headed to Guelph, our neighbour to the Northeast. Another great city, also very packed with shops and industry. Like Cambridge, we came across a large manufacturing area on the western side and up Highway 7 from Kitchener. We had been to Stone Road Mall on many occasions, but had not really explored Guelph on foot before. We were surprised at its size and enjoyed seeing the area around the University of Guelph. We are looking forward to another trip back, where we can get to explore and enjoy more of the city.
The great thing about this area of Southwestern Ontario is how densely populated it is, and how close all the cities are within driving distance. To us, staying local is important and being able to meet potential and current clients allows for a greater website design experience all around. Being able to hop in a car and drive to Guelph, Cambridge, London and Hamilton to pass out flyers and meet new people is something we enjoy, and as we look forward to spending more time on the road, we hope that CryoDragon will meet you along the way!
